How information is handled

Susman Insurance Agency operates this website. The agency privacy policy is effective July 19, 2024. This page explains how that policy applies to information you provide here and to visits to this site.

When you ask us to respond

Every inquiry form asks for your name, email address, preferred response method and message. A phone number is optional unless you request a phone response. The homepage also asks for a Topic. The home-insurance form asks about property use and the focus of your review. The auto-insurance form asks about vehicle use. The quote form asks for a Topic and your decision timeframe. Please do not include Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, payment details, medical information or property-access credentials.

The agency uses your message to respond and discuss the question you raised. Website-hosting, abuse-prevention and email-processing services handle information needed to provide those functions. Messages reach the agency's ordinary mailbox. No separate form database is maintained, and there is no additional post-delivery deletion or cleanup schedule; agency correspondence remains subject to ordinary mailbox retention. The browser does not save your submitted answers in local storage or cookies.

Agency information and calls

Client information is used internally. Recordings and client information are not shared with third parties or affiliates without legal authority. A call may be recorded for training or quality assurance, and you may ask that it not be recorded. The same legal-authority requirement applies to distributing a recording.

Understanding visits without analytics cookies

This site uses cookieless measurement to understand page visits. It honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Measurement includes the page URL and title, referrer information, browser and device information, language, screen size and visit timing. Form answers and contact details are not sent to analytics. No analytics cookies are set, and visitors are not linked across domains.

IP addresses are anonymized by removing two bytes before storage, and location information uses only the anonymized address. Referrer query strings are removed, identifiers are randomized, and raw visit logs are deleted after 90 days. These practices are separate from the retention of messages in the agency mailbox.

Children and communication preferences

The agency does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under thirteen. A child under thirteen must have permission from a parent or guardian to use this website.

You may ask the agency to stop sending announcements. For that request or a privacy question, use this site's quote form and select Privacy as the Topic. This site does not invite text-message enrollment. Any text-message invitation from the agency must identify the brand and expected message frequency, disclose that message and data rates may apply, and provide HELP and STOP instructions.

Protection and future revisions

The website uses encryption in transit. No general statement about a technical control guarantees every possible outcome. The agency may revise its privacy statement; please review it periodically to understand the practices described here.
